Tea Time Garden at The Torch Tower - A Mixed Experience

Tea Time Garden at The Torch Tower - A Mixed Experience
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
Tea Garden, located on the 21st floor of The Torch Tower, provided a refreshing contrast to our earlier experience at Three Sixty. As soon as we stepped in, the lively atmosphere welcomed us, setting the tone for an enjoyable evening.
The staff at Tea Garden were brilliant, exemplifying professionalism and attentiveness throughout our visit. However, a recurring issue we encountered was the obstructed view caused by a massive bollard. It was disappointing, especially considering that the appeal of both restaurants is largely based on the view.
In an attempt to rectify our disappointing experience at Three Sixty, we called the manager, who was absent during our meal. He made a kind gesture by inviting us back to Tea Garden and providing us with complimentary items. Although appreciated, it left us with mixed feelings, as it couldn't fully compensate for the money spent at Three Sixty.
Now, focusing solely on our experience at Tea Garden, we found it to be a pleasant and vibrant environment with excellent staff and an overall enjoyable ambiance. It's important to note that our rating for Tea Garden is not influenced by our previous disappointment at Three Sixty, and we would recommend giving Tea Garden a try for its own merits.
However, much like our experience at Three Sixty, we were left disappointed when we were seated. The primary draw of both of these restaurants is the breathtaking view, but this aspect was once again hindered by a massive bollard obstructing our view. This design flaw diminished our overall experience, which was a letdown considering the potential of the venue. While the ambiance and service showed promise, the view, or lack thereof, was a significant drawback.

STRAWBERRY MINT COOLER - 35 RIYALS

The strawberry mint cooler mojito at Tea Time Garden was a standout, earning a commendable 8/10. Unlike many mojitos that rely on syrup, this one genuinely showcased the fruity essence of strawberries. However, we were let down by the portion size, particularly given the 35 riyal price tag. A delightful drink with room for improvement in the value department.

PASSION FRUIT MOJITO - 35 RIYALS

In contrast, the passion fruit mojito, despite being of the same size, was an absolute masterpiece. We couldn't help but give it a perfect 10/10 rating. The taste was exceptional, crafted to perfection, and it more than made up for any shortcomings in portion size. This drink truly shone with its superb flavor.

STRAWBERRY TART - 24 RIYALS

The strawberry tart at Tea Time Garden was a delightful treat, earning an 8/10 rating. The custard tart base topped with juicy, plump strawberries was not only well-presented but also boasted nice, straightforward flavours. Despite its simplicity, this dish delivered a satisfying and enjoyable dessert experience.

BANANA CAKE - 24 RIYALS

The banana cake at Tea Time Garden had a pleasing flavour and a spongy, soft texture, which we appreciated. However, it left our mouths feeling dry, which was a minor drawback. Overall, it earned a respectable 7/10 for its taste and texture.
